Spinal stenosis is the condtion of narrowing the spinal canal. Narrowing of the spinal canal puts pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots. It can cause pain, muscle weakness and bladder problems. Uncontrolled growth of bones, spinal injuries, damaged disc or tumors are the major sources of spinal stenosis. At the same time, this surgery may not be effective in all other patients with obstructive hydrocephalus.
